How to get paid

  1. Keep a log: date, from and to addresses, round-trip miles, parking and toll receipts.
  2. Fill out the DWC medical mileage expense form.
  3. Send it to the claims administrator with receipts, and keep a copy.

The rate follows the IRS business mileage rate under Labor Code §4600 and Government Code §19820, and applies by date of travel, regardless of your date of injury. Earlier rates: 70¢ (2025), 67¢ (2024).
