Terms of Use
Draft pending review by California counsel
These Terms of Use govern your use of CalCompGuide (the "site"). By using the site, you agree to them.
Information, not legal advice
The site provides general information about California workers' compensation. It is not legal advice, may not reflect the latest changes in the law, and may not apply to your situation. CalCompGuide is not a law firm and is not a lawyer referral service. Using the site or submitting a form does not create an attorney–client relationship with us or with any attorney.
Attorney advertising
Participating attorneys pay to advertise. Payments are advertising fees; they are not referral fees and do not depend on whether you hire an attorney or on the outcome of any case. We do not endorse, rank or recommend any attorney. Each attorney is solely responsible for their own services. You are free to choose any attorney, or none.
Attorney directory
Directory listings come from public State Bar of California records of attorneys who list workers' compensation as a practice area. Listings may include attorneys who represent employers or insurers. Listed attorneys are not necessarily participating advertisers. Verify any attorney's status on the State Bar's website. To correct or remove a listing, email admin@calcompguide.com.
Estimates
Calculators show rough estimates based on general rules and the numbers you enter. They are not a prediction or promise of any benefit, settlement or result.
Your submissions
You agree that information you submit is accurate and that the phone number and email are yours. Don't submit Social Security numbers or medical records through our forms. You may withdraw consent to be contacted at any time.
Acceptable use
Don't submit false information, scrape or overload the site, attempt to access our systems without permission, or use the site unlawfully.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The site is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for the acts or omissions of any attorney.
Governing law
California law governs these terms.
